Draft for school review — not yet approvedWhat we aim for
We build this site to WCAG 2.2 Level AA. That is the target, not a certification — the site has not been independently audited.
What that means in practice
- Every interactive element can be reached and operated with a keyboard alone.
- Focus is always visible, and a skip link jumps past the navigation.
- Body text, labels and links meet AA contrast in both the light and dark themes, and the theme follows your device setting unless you change it. One decorative exception is listed under known gaps.
- Headings and landmarks are used for structure, so a screen reader can navigate the page rather than read it start to finish.
- The animated diagrams can be explored with the keyboard, and each one announces its description as you move through it.
- If your device asks for reduced motion, the scrolling band stops, the hero visual holds still, and everything that moved simply appears.
- Touch targets are at least 44 by 44 pixels.
Known gaps
- The method diagrams are information-dense. Each has a text description, but a reader relying on that description alone gets less from them than a sighted reader.
- Registration happens on Microsoft Forms, whose accessibility is Microsoft’s rather than ours.
- The large numerals beside the four module steps are deliberately faint. They are decoration — the steps are numbered in order and labelled in text — but they do not meet the AA contrast ratio on their own.
